Quote status definitions

The table below outlines the different quote and proposal statuses in the Quotation Center. There are different statuses for each tier. Performing an action at the quote or at the proposal level can change the status of the other tier. Some of the listed statuses are only available to you depending on your configuration of Cimpl or if you've enabled Cimpl's Provider Portal.

Quote Statuses

Status Definition
New You have just created the quote.
In Progress At least one proposal is in another status other than New (e.g. The Proposal status is Proposal Requested).
Canceled Canceling at the Quote level, means that all proposals for all providers are canceled. This means that you are no longer considering the proposals and you are not continuing the quote process. This status is also triggered if all the proposals have been cancelled individually.
Completed

At least one of the proposals has been converted to a workorder.

Proposal Statuses

Status Definition
New You have just created the proposal.
Proposal Requested You have sent the proposal to the provider.
Accepted You have accepted the proposal the provider has sent you.
Canceled You have canceled the proposal. You are no longer considering the proposal.
Returned to Provider You have returned the proposal to the provider to negotiate. You would like the provider to submit changes or a new proposal. This status is only available if you have Provider Portal enabled.
Proposal Ready When the provider has submitted a proposal for your review. This status is only available if you have Provider Portal enabled.
Viewed A provider has opened the sent proposal in the Provider Portal. This status is only available if you have Provider Portal enabled.
Recommended You have an approval workflow configured, and you have submitted a proposal for approval.
Rejected The approver has rejected a proposal recommended by the analyst or employee.
Provider Withdrew The provider has withdrawn their proposal and that proposal is not longer in consideration. This status is only available if you have Provider Portal enabled.
Clarification Required You have asked the provider to provide more information for the proposal and are waiting for a response.
Provider Recall The provider has recalled the proposal, so all work on that proposal has ended. This status is only available if you have Provider Portal enabled.
Pending Whenever a proposal gets edited or a cost item is added.
Converted You have converted the proposal to a workorder.
Abandoned This statuses appears on all other proposal in a quote after you have converted one of the proposals to a workorder.
